Reopening soon!

It has been a long year, filled with hope, disappointment, determination, and, finally, pure excitement. After months of waiting on needed exterior repairs to the building and weeks of working to clean and prep the interior, we are on the cusp of reopening in a space that is beyond our wildest dreams—106 S. Main Street, right in the heart of our beloved downtown.

We are coming back as a book café, inspired by 17 years of travel in Europe and eight years of living in Kenya and South Africa. We’ve pulled in all the happy memories of the best café culture and condensed them into a space that is cozy and inviting—with an invitation to stop the hurry and linger a while.

In addition to delicious pastries by Sam Louisa Harper, we will offer dine-in brunch from 8am-12:30pm Wednesday through Saturday. Menu options will include our signature avocado toast with toppings as well as yogurt parfait, scones with cream and jam, and other delicious treats.

We also have an incredible private tea room that will be available for bridal showers, tea tastings, book club meetings, and more. This cottage-style space features our antique teacup and china collection, which will be available for guests to use during their stay. We also have a dress-up corner with vintage hats for ladies who’d like to glam up a bit for your party (great for mother-daughter events!). Catering will be an option as well, and we are working on our online booking portal to make this process as easy as possible for all.

We hope to open by November 24, and we appreciate your patience as we slowly work to bring everything up to speed during our first few weeks. Coming back from ground zero has been a lot of work (and more estate sales than I can count!), but we have enjoyed every moment and have poured ourselves into every detail.

Our thanks go out to the incredible Keisha Hall, who owns this gorgeous historical building (originally Martin Drug Company). She shares our dream of bringing beautiful experiences to our downtown, and she reached out to us to see if we’d be interested in the building way back in February, when we felt like all our comeback plans had fallen through. It has been a long journey to go from losing everything to rebuilding in a bigger, better space, but it is so worth all the effort. We hope you’ll agree. See you soon!
